RE: Wayward kids wandering into campsite

One time, we had it so bad, adults and kids alike were walking through our site and family were with-their site, and we weren't even in the path to the bathroom!!! So the dad's decided to hang a wash line for the swim suits and beach towels across the way so they would have to walk around our sites. It didn't help! Kids ran through knocking down our laundry. The adults just ducked underneath. It was crazy and not to mention rude. So the next time it happened, I politely said "HI! Can I help you?". They looked at me and said 'ahhh, no', I responded with 'well then, I would like to kindly ask you not to cut through this site then and request you walk around, and I will respect your site in the same manner'. Did this for adults and children and it seemed to work, they went around from that point on. I just figured the washline thing would be there first clue but it wasn't! :)

RE: Salsa Anyone?

Have you heard of Tastefully Simiple? They sell a jar of dehydrated (called Simply Salsa) seasonings for Salsa - you can use your fresh tomoates or just buy a can of petite diced tomaotes, add 1/4 cup of these dehydrated seasonings, chill for an hour and its ready to eat and fabulous. My kids don't like too much kick, so I use a little less. Maybe you can find a distributor in your area. VERY GOOD and HIGHLY recommend it. My husband and kids love it-they don't want me to buy the jarred stuff anymore!

RE: Crock Pot Favorites

I got this recipe from someone on this site, sorry, I can't remember who:
Chicken Thighs or drumsticks
1 bottle of Western or French Dressing
handful of brown sugar.
I toss the chicken in frozen in the morning on low, dump the dressing all over and sprinkle the brown sugar on top. By the time I get home from work, the chicken is ready to fall off the bone and oh so delicious! Its a favorite here!
Another favorite, any kind of beef with cream of mushshroom soup, 1/2 can water and sliced onions on low all day! Served with mashed potatoes Yum!!
Any my new discovery - doing a turkey breast in the crock pot.
Take a frozen turkey breast and let it thaw enough that there is just a little bit of ice on the insde, wash the turkey breast off, pat dry with a paper towel. Rub with vegetable, or whatever oil you have, salt, and pepper it, and throw a couple of garlic cloves on the bottom of the crock with probably a good cup of water or so! Let is sit in the crock all day on low!! It too will fall off the bones after 8-10 hours! So easy to do on Thanksgiving when your only serving a few!

French Toast
Dip 2 bread slices into egg batter, place both slices into cooker, placing strawberry jam between bread slices. Toast until browned.

RE: I need some YUMMY group recipes

We do this same type of thing when we go with a group. This is what I do for breakfast:
Crock Pot egg bake (cooks all night)
Cinnamon rolls (made in RV oven-just the ones in the refrig tube roll) or make them at home and put them in a container)
Bacon/Sausage - sometimes both
Cheerios (sometimes kids just want something simple)
fruit
milk
juice
Dinner:
Taco's-Make meat/taco seasoning ahead at home and freeze, after cleaning out crock pot from breakfast, throw in taco meat for the day.
Taco fixings (Lettuce, cheese, sour cream, taco sauce, onions, tomatoes, black olives, shells-dorritos in a small bag, soft shells or hard shells).
Hope that helps! Have fun!!
